STONINGTON, Conn. — A Boston gentleman was killed and in a multi-car or truck crash that shut down I-95 in Stonington for numerous hrs on Sunday. 

Connecticut Condition Law enforcement say the crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. when 30-calendar year-aged Leander Ortega of Boston attempted to pass two other autos on the proper as he was driving north on the freeway in the vicinity of exit 91. Law enforcement say Ortega facet-swiped 1 motor vehicle he was passing and rear-ending a different motor vehicle. The car or truck he aspect-swiped ran into the median and hit a tree. Ortega’s automobile also went into the median where by police say it arrived to an “uncontrolled remaining rest on colliding with a medium diameter tree, fusing to and wrapping all-around the tree.”  

Ortega was pronounced useless at the scene. The driver of the motor vehicle he aspect-swiped, from Cranston, R.I., complained of intense tummy discomfort and was taken to L+M Hospital in New London. 3 young little ones in her auto had no reported injuries but have been also taken to the hospital for observation.

No other injuries were being claimed. The highway was shut down for various hours in the two instructions though police collected proof and experienced the automobiles eliminated.
